Sylvio is managing Adebiotech’s transdisciplinary scientific programs in various field of Biotechnology focused around the « one health » concept (Human and Animal Health, Environment, Nutrition). He is a member of the Programming Committee of the Allergies For Industry AFI2020  Conference, where he has been actively involved in the scientific discussions and conference agenda preparation, as well as its communication the scientific community.

Sylvio holds a PhD in cellular and molecular biology (immunology) , and has a confirmed industrial experience in protein purification and Bioproduction (monoclonal antibodies, gene therapy vectors, recombinant proteins).

Danielle Lando was awarded her PhD by the Institut Pasteur for her research in virology. She led a career in the pharmaceutical industry as a researcher in cellular and molecular pharmacology before she was put in charge of biotechnologies within the Roussel-Uclaf group, now called Aventis. She has striven for drawing her company closer to the academic world by promoting collaborative projects. She was a member of the CNRS National Committee from 1995 to 2000.

She has worked as a volunteer scientist with Adebiotech since 2001 and is currently the Vice-Chairwoman of Adebiotech.

Eric obtained a master’s degree in Biology and Pharmacology from the University of Paris VI in 2002 and then worked in an academic environment in dermatology and ophthalmology at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Paris.

In 2006, he joined Natura’s group, the number one cosmetic company in Brazil, to set up in vitro toxicology assays but also to participate to European initiatives in the field of animal test replacement.

In 2012, he joined Oroxcell to lead the Life Science department where he managed to set up new in vitro assays in a regulatory context for both the pharmaceutical and the cosmetic industry, and he also developed collaborations with cosmetic leading companies to design and validate innovative sensitization and genotoxicity assays.

From the beginning of his industrial carrier, Eric has been committed in the promotion and dissemination of new in vitro tools for toxicology assessment, focussed on the 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction and Refinement) implementation.

Eric is a member of the French Society of Toxicology (SFT), a Eurotox Registered Toxicologist (ERT) and an active member at Adebiotech, the French think tank for biotechnologies promotion.

Alain Baniel has been working in the nutrition research and food industry for more than 25 years. After a PhD in Food Sciences from the University of Nantes, France and a postdoc from Guelph University in Canada, he joined the Nestlé’s subsidiary Proteika as Scientific Director for 10 years. In 2007 he created and managed for 4 years a company specialised in the development and distribution of micronutrition for clinical and sport nutrition.

He is currently the R&D Manager at Ingredia Group. He is responsible for the implementation and coordination of a global research program that develops and investigates a portfolio of milk ingredients for the food and nutrition industries in relation to their functional and health benefits. Among different research programs, he takes a particular interest in the understanding of the digestion behaviours of proteins and its impacts to develop appropriate formula for specific nutritional needs.

Denis Chéreau holds a Ph.D. in microbiology obtained at INRA in Dijon in 1986, on the production of single-cell protein by solid state fermentation. He participated in the creation of Lyven SA specialized in the production and marketing of enzymes obtained by solid state fermentation for fruit juices, bread-making and animal feed markets. He then worked in the starch industry as technical manager in France and the USA and became plant management for 9 years in 2 Tereos wheat and corn plants in Picardy and Alsace. He is currently general manager of IMPROVE SAS first R&D centre dedicated to plant proteins valorisation. IMPROVE started its operational activity end of 2014, employing already 23 scientists and technicians. IMPROVE is contracting with companies working in the food, feed, cosmetic or agrobiobased chemistry in or outside Europe.

Carine Delayre-Orthez est enseignant-chercheur dans le département Sciences de la Nutrition et Santé à LaSalle Beauvais-Esitpa, établissement d’enseignement supérieur et de recherche. Titulaire d’un doctorat en Toxicologie et Pharmacologie de l’Université Louis Pasteur, ses premiers travaux de recherche ont d’abord porté sur l’impact des endotoxines et le rôle du récepteur PPARa sur l’asthme allergique et sur la régulation de l’inflammation associée. Après un an en tant qu’Attachée Temporaire d’Enseignement et de Recherche à la Faculté de Pharmacie de Strasbourg, elle a rejoint LaSalle Beauvais-Esitpa en 2005. Elle y assure des enseignements d’Immunologie et de Pharmacotoxicologie pour des étudiants de niveau L1 à M2. Elle coordonne des projets de recherche académique et industrielle. Ses activités de recherche portent sur l’incidence de l’alimentation et des contaminants alimentaires sur le développement des allergies, et plus particulièrement sur la modulation de la réponse immunitaire et de l’homéostasie intestinale par les composés néoformés.

Sandra Denery has a PhD in immunochemistry from AgroParisTech obtained in the Laboratory of Immunochemistry of viruses and peptides of CNRS Strasbourg in 1995. She has worked in INRA Nantes on the detection and quantification of gluten proteins in link with bread making quality or food safety, and on the characterization of wheat allergens. She has been the leader of the Allergy team of the INRA-BIA (Biopolymers-Assemblies-Interactions) unit for 10 years. In 2015, she was in mission at the Food Allergy and Immunology Center of the Mass General Hospital in Boston. She is currently a Senior Scientist in the Allergy team and develops researches in order to better understand, assess and reduce food protein allergenicity. She notably leads projects on the molecular characteristics of food allergens (wheat, legumes) and the effect of modifications due to food processing on the allergenic potential. She is an author on 58 publications in peer-reviewed journals. She is a member of the French Network on Molecular Allergology (RFAM) of SFA and in interaction with the French association of gluten intolerant (AFDIAG) and the Allergy-Vigilance Network (RAV).

After a Master’s Degree in medical instrumentation, Colette MAVIER has evolved in the allergy diagnostic field where she has acquired an experience of more than 20 years in marketing, scientific, medical and product management. She is currently scientific and medical affairs manager for the company Thermo Fisher Scientific.

She closely works with the scientific and medical communities to improve allergy and autoimmunity diagnostic and management by developing knowledge, education and guidelines on blood tests.
